What makes this model stand out is the down double steel frame, an impressive fuel injection and the powerful engine which is situated under the 26.5 inch seat. The good thing about this bike is the fact that it is user friendly, it can be driven by all from beginners to veterans. The engine is a perfect combination between performance and power, all you need when you go for a ride on the highway.
One thing which amazed everybody is the fact that a Yamaha bike has a lot of characteristics specific to c cruiser. It has a very low seat, a full size chassis and high quality finishes. Because it is not something that we would normally see at Yamaha the model is place at the entry level of cruiser which means that if you have never driven a cruiser you can get it.
The engine of the Yamaha V-Star 950 is a V twin at 60 degrees with 942cc and air cooling. Inside the engine we have 4 valve cylinder heads, cylinders which are made of ceramic composite, pistons made out of aluminum and last but not least the fuel injection.
Because the design of the chassis was so well done the rider feels the bike very light thus making it easier to be driven. The main frame is made from double cradle steel which means that the bike is rigid in balance. The front wheel of the 2012 Yamaha V-Star 950 is 18 inches giving the bike excellent maneuver.
The front and the rear fenders are made out of steel which means that they are very easy to customize and they give the bike a clean look. The capacity of the fuel tank is about 4.5 gallons. The model also has a fuel economy system, it can save up to 47 mpg when the tank is full.
We are looking forward to see how the 2012 Yamaha V-Star 950 will be received by Yamaha fans because Yamaha has accustomed us with sports bikes. We do not know the price yet but we are sure that next year the manufacturer will announce it. All we have to do is sit back and wait for the 2012 Yamaha V-Star 950 to reach showrooms.
